Zona Martiska is an immersive performance in which participants share the intimacy of a collective urban exploration. Freely inspired by Tarkovsky's Stalker, the performance guides the audience through abandoned architectural spaces.
The scene is inhabited by two entities: an interactive robot scanning the space, measuring distances and turning them into a soundscape — and performers equipped with body sensors that translate movement into sound modulations. The result is a site-specific sum of evocative venue, sinuous movement and human-machine interaction.
Music exists in time; architecture, instead, does exist in space. Dance lives altogether in space and time. curt sachs
